Environmental Policy

Calibre International enjoys a high quality of environment at its offices. It is therefore committed to maintaining, and wherever possible, improving, the quality of this environment, both for the people who work for Calibre, and for the wider community.

This commitment is reflected in policies which seek to make the most effective and efficient use of all resources, encouraging all employees of the Calibre to develop an ecologically sound and sustainable approach to their work and lifestyle.

Calibre International aims to contribute to the quality of life of neighbourhoods it works in, and seeks to ensure that development meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. A ‘green’ approach can bring direct benefits and Calibre is committed to improving its environmental performance by addressing the following objectives like “Energy Conservation” and “Waste Reduction and Recycling”

Principles and Policy Objectives

• To adopt, wherever practicable, methods of living and working which reduce the impact on the earth’s biophysical systems, mindful of the potentially disastrous results for us all if the resilience of these systems is exceeded.

• To make all employees at Calibre aware of the environment impacts relating too much of what they do in their daily lives, thus providing a continuing education in the environment.

• To co-operate, where possible, with the wider community, in order to implement environmental policies from the local community through to the global level.

• To comply with, and exceed where practicable, all applicable legislation, regulations and codes of practice.

• To integrate sustainability considerations into all our business decisions.

• To ensure that all staff are fully aware of our Sustainability Policy and are committed to implementing and improving it.

• To minimise the impact on sustainability of all office and transportation activities.

Other things being equal, preference is given to suppliers in the region so as to promote the Calibre International’s links with the community and to minimise travel distance for the delivery of goods.

• Calibre International is making best endeavours to ensure that it uses cleaning materials which are biodegradable and environmentally friendly.

• Calibre International does not use cleaning materials if there is knowledge that they have been tested on animals.

• Calibre International assesses every new initiative for its environmental costs and benefits. • Calibre International monitors its environmental performance in order to demonstrate continuous improvement.

• Calibre International will continue to pursue policies and practices by which it might enhance the local environment, and will be willing to disseminate details of good practices to interested parties outside the Calibre International. Above all, i will encourage every individual member of its community to participate in achieving the goals of its environmental policy.
